About CCBH

The College of Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CCBH) provides Hypnotherapy training in London. The college was  established by Avy Joseph, Anthony Lappin and Maggie Chapman (see biogs) to train adults and therapists in the theory, practice, ethics and therapeutic applications of Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy.

CCBH promotes specifically Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) as a valid contemporary treatment, one that can be utilised alongside other skills or as a therapeutic clinical profession in its own right.

CCBH was founded by people with a proven track record of teaching, coaching and one-to-one therapy. They share a common value and vision of honesty, personal integrity and the desire to train people ethically in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy. They believe that personal development, commitment and hard work are imperative to becoming an effective Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist.

The Government advocates evidence-based therapy such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) is evidenced and therefore should be viewed as evidence-based hypnotherapy.

All our Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy trainers are highly qualified, experienced, registered hypnotherapists and accredited cognitive behavioural therapists (see biog). We firmly believe that Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy is taught most effectively by experienced therapists, qualified and registered in both disciplines.
